Nos boursiers sont des étudiants exceptionnels. Triés sur le volet au sein de leurs universités, puis par la Fondation qui les reçoit pour des entrevues individuelles d?une trentaine de minutes, ils se sont tous démarqués par leurs résultats académiques et leur leadership hors norme mais également par leur grande persévérance.
En effet, tous nos boursiers sont méritants : ils ont su, à un moment ou à un autre de leur vie, relever des défis personnels ou professionnels importants. Dotés de grandes ambitions, nous croyons que chacun d?entre eux contribuera ou contribue déjà à l?économie du Québec en apportant des solutions innovantes pour faire face aux grands enjeux actuels.
Scholarship Program Process
The Arbour Foundation is proud to partner with eleven Québec universities to offer scholarships to master's and doctorate students. Students from partner universities must possess at least an undergraduate degree and must have been accepted to pursue a MBA, MSc, PhD or DBA program and must have achieved a grade point average of at least 75% in their previous degree to be eligible.
The Arbour Foundation’s partner universities are: Bishop’s University, Concordia University, ÉTS (École de technologie supérieure), HEC Montréal, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, McGill University, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal), Université Laval.

Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud" is one of my favorite quotes from Dr. Maya Angelou. A doctorate degree is a path full of challenges and difficult moments. The Arbour Foundation was a rainbow in my clouds; it was always there to support me through it all. The Arbour scholarship made it possible for me to focus totally on my research work, which has helped bring forth my potential. As a consequence, I got noticed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where I am currently designing control algorithms for efficient space management while collaborating with engineers and researchers from NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). In return, I am committed to defend the principles of Enlightenment in order to contribute to the realization of Mr. Pierre Arbour's vision, while, at the same time, hoping to be a rainbow in someone else's cloud like the Foundation has been for me. Hopefully, I will use the skills that I have acquired in the security of cyber-physical systems, in data privacy-preserving algorithms design, and in automatic control for the benefit of the province of Quebec after my return.
