AI for the Planet
AI for the Planet networking event: a big thank you to Hugo Larochelle!
On May 30, 2024, at Montreal's Intercontinental Hotel, Ivado and the Arbour Foundation welcomed scholars and guests to their joint networking event: AI for the Planet. The guest speaker was none other than Hugo Larochelle, Associate Professor at Université de Montréal, Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, holder of the Canada-CIFAR Chair in AI, and Senior Industry Fellow at Mila.
More than one hundred participants enjoyed the gathering and the topic of artificial intelligence got everyone excited. As one scholar put it, “I met some fascinating people there, it felt good to meet like-minded people!”
The event also provided an opportunity for entrepreneurial scholars to present their start-up projects during the cocktail reception. V1 Studio and Ton Équipier were also on hand to answer entrepreneurial questions.
Guests chatted passionately throughout the evening, both at the cocktail party and around the dinner table. The event was a huge success.
